SK Roti Paratha with Onion Flavor~
Paratha is an amalgamation of the words parat and atta, which literally means layers of cooked dough. In fact, parathas are thicker and more substantial than chapatis. This is because they have been layered by coating with ghee or oil and folding repeatedly using a specific technique.
Parathas are simple flatbreads with whole wheat (or atta) flour and just a few other simple ingredients. Then simply knead it into a soft dough, form, flatten and fold several times to create lots of flaky layers.
Serving SK Roti Paratha Onion Flavor...
Parathas can be a great breakfast dish or as a tea-time snack. Its flour is finely ground wholemeal (atta) and the dough is shallow fried. Parathas are one of the most popular unleavened flatbreads in the Indian Subcontinent. The original way of preparing it is by baking or cooking whole wheat dough on a Tava. After that, finish it off with shallow frying.
However, the usual way of serving the paratha is with dollops of white butter on top of it. Side dishes that go very well with paratha are curd, fried egg, omelet, mutton kheema, nihari (a lamb dish), jeera aloo (potatoes lightly fried with cumin seeds), and daal as part of a breakfast meal.
